Courtney Verne

Courtney started her dance journey at age 2 at JDI Dance Company. At the age of 7 she was dancing competitively at JDI. After JDI had moved locations Courtney continued dancing closer to home at Prestige Dance Company. While at Prestige Dance Company Courtney was offered the opportunity to start assisting classes at the age of 12. At 15 years old Courtney was teaching her own classes and this is when she fell in love with teaching. Courtney was on Varsity dance team all four years of high school at Temescal Canyon High, where she fell in love with choreographing. She was awarded the “Best Choreographer” award multiple times while on the team. Courtney then became captain of the Varsity team her senior year. When Prestige had to close their doors in 2018 Courtney had to find somewhere she could finish her senior year of dance. Courtney tried out at JPD and made their Senior Elite Teams, they quickly became her family. After graduating High School Courtney went on to continue to teach and choreograph and start her dream career as a dance teacher. She has a huge passion for dancing, choreographing and story telling. Courtney will continue to share her passion and inspire all her dancers. Courtney can’t wait for this new journey with the JDI family!
