David Ricks-Siler has been dancing for as long as he can remember. In high school David joined his schools dance team, New Era, and also became a student at JDI Dance Company. During this time David began to build an impressive list of accolades as a competitive dancer at the studio and at his school. David won many 1st place overalls and made it to the National Championships with his team at the studio while also winning first place in many of his high school competitions. After graduating High School David went on to join a San Diego based dance troupe called Wild 7s, took on the role as an instructor at JDI, and dove head first into the dance industry. What sets David apart is his experience in multiple fields of dance, and not only because he has the experience but because he excels in all those different fields. In the industry David has worked with choreographers such as Tony Tzar , Superdave, and more who have choreographed for P.Diddy, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, etc. the list goes on. David also is a very well respected freestyle dancer winning many competitions locally, regionally, nationally, and even internationally. His accomplishments in that area led him to being handpicked to represent Team USA at an international dance battle known as KOD for the Hip Hop Team. During that event David made it all the way to the FINALS for the 1on 1 category . David’s list of accomplishments only continues to get longer as he continues to work as a dancer in the field. David’s high energy Hip Hop classes are very popular and his students love him. David is extremely excited to continue teaching Hip Hop classes at JDI for his 7th Season.
